a new (used) car which I will collect from the garage next Wednesday.It needs taxing ,Ive got a new insurance cover note,(the car doesnt need an MOT Certificate),what else do I need to take to the Post Office,please.

Thankyou Sara3 I have the V5 form which Ive filled in my details in the 'new keeper' boxes If thats all the PO wants then I think Im sorted, hopefully...

Doh....I just knew there would be a catch

When I went to tax my newbie a few weeks ago, I filled in a V10, but when I went to the post office they said I didn't need it as I had the 'log book' (V5) with the new keeper supplement filled in.

You shouldn't have the V5c form, just the new keeper supplement (V5c/2)

The V5c form should have been sent off by the seller
