Can you use a picture from a mobile phone for your Driving Licence picture? I had my ten year reminder the other day (20 renewal robbing ********). I don't fancy paying another 4 for pictures as well
Cheers

if you have a passport they can get you picture from the database if you wish .see dvla online.
DVLA are able to check the passport database to confirm an applicant's identity but they do not "get" the picture from there to put on a renewed photocard driving licence.

The specific standards for the photo to be sent with the renewal application are listed here...

Sorry to say the photo has to be up to date, clarity of photo which a mobile does not give.
I just took a picture with an ordinary camera, but it had to be shrunk so much that its quality ended up pretty much the same as on a mobile. I don't see why it shouldn't work, as long as you obey the rules in kempie's link.
