Can I check the age of a car?

Is there a website that will let me check the age of a car I've seen for sale? It has a personalised number.

Thanks Kempie, but when I tried it said 'vehicle not found' I tried my own car and my wife's (not personalised numbers) and got the same result. Any tips?

theres a link on autorader to check a cars history (probably HPI), the first bit is free which will confirm make model colour, any further and it costs..

You are inputting the reg no. without gaps aren't you?. Tried mine without spaces=ok, with spaces=vehicle not found.

If you cannot get the info you want from the As given, either look under the rear seat if its easy to remove & look at the cushion, the date should be visible in a clock type motto. If its hard to remove any part of the trim will have the date of the car product that will give near enough the date of production.
