Hi. my mum has bought a trailor tent/folding camper and has just bought a number plate for it. it has a picture of the tazmanian devil in the corner where you would normally find the gb logo. i was just wondering if this is legal or not? before we put it on the trailor. thanks.
thanks. its just i remember a women on the news a few months back, she got done for having a football team logo in the corner, didnt want same thing to happen to my mam. will have a good read through the dvla site.
Despite the answer given by RevFunk it is illegal for any mark other than national identifiers (GB etc.) to form part of the euro-style registration plate.
Non euro-style plates are not allowed to have any additional marks.
And if you travel on the Continent with your trailer tent you MUST have a GB sticker. New number plates are cheap enough to buy at Halfords but you must take your V5 with you to prove ownership of the vehicle. JD
hi. thanks for all your answers. probably best not to risk using it. she didnt know when she bought it, was only a few quid so probably best to lose that then getting a big fine! thanks again. xx
