import duties on a car fron N Ireland?

I am looking at buying a race car from N Ireland, to bring back to England. Has anyone any experience of doing this. Are there import duties payable. I appreciate I would need to re-register thru DVLA, but I am more concerned about how much I would have to pay on top of �2000 purchase price. Thanks in advance, Chris

Northern Ireland is part of the UK so there is no import duty.
