its hard to pinpoint an exact problem as to why the engine management light is coming on but im my exprience of working on the euro 7 taxis which have the 2ltr hdi peugeot engine the usual faults were the mass air flow meter, fuel pressure sensor on th fuel rail and the fuel pressure sensor on the fuel pump. get a diagnostic check done to find out exactly whats wrong.
I have had the same problem on my 806, after having the engine management system checked the two faults that appeared were the air mass sensor and fuel pressure switch on fuel rail. I was told this could be due to a blocked catalystic converter and exhaust, now having to work through an expensive proccess of elimination !
Hi I have found the problem with my car it was the "Butterfly Diaphram" peugeot part No P0000036394 cost 14.60 +VAT. it is located towards the back of the head on the right hand side. it operates a butterfly valve to boost air flow to the turbo the link arm had broke. It was replaced and has cured the problem hope this is helpful to you it was not the cat as I was first lead to believe.
