I wonder if they can actually enforce the fine ?
Have you checked the entrance....might be signed as you come in.
Signs enforcing such regulations must be CLEARLY visible, and not only at an entrance to the car park.

Decline the fine, and state that there is insuficient signage.
The visible sign was there. DISABLED PARKING BAY.

I hope they can enforce the fine.
if it's in private property they can just go whistle for that money - there's no legal justification for the fine.

The moral one is another story...
I think that if you are not forced to pay - then you should donate the 50 to a disabled charity. The disabled spaces are there for a reason (although some people do abuse the system).
My sons girlfriend is disabled - and I know that she experiences great discomfort in walking just a few extra yards - and why should she have to go through extra pain and suffering just because people like you can not be bothered
Dilligaf, when i say visible signs, i mean SIGNS SHOWING THE PARKING REGULATIONS, AND THAT THERE MAY BE A PENALTY. They MUST be shown.
moral issues aside.
if you can be fined for parking in a disabled space when you are not disabled, can you be fined for driving against the direction arrows painted on the carpark floor? can you be fined for parking in a space painted with a buggy if you don't have a buggy? what next?
I hope they CAN enforce this fine. Both my husband and I are disabled and have difficulty in walking, it infuriates me when non disabled persons park in disabled bays which forces us and other blue badge users to park elsewhere and not near to the store which makes it so much easier to get to. Just a little thought might go a long way but I guess selfish people never think of others, hence them parking in disabled bays when they don't have a blue badge!
