I was involved in a car accident last march when a lorry pulled into my car at a roundabout and damaged the left hand side of the car and smashing the back left window. Churchill arranged the repairs to a company who then outsourced part of the repairs to RAC to replace a window. It now appears this window was not fixed properly and has been leaking for some time... the carpets in both front and rear foot wells are wet as a result I have arrnaged with Churchill for the car to go back and have the window replaced but on an independant report I have from Renault, they state non genuine parts have been used in the repairs. It has also been noted then the glass hasnt been etched with my reg number as the original window was either. Am I within my rights to request that only genuine Renault parts be used and the window is returned fully etched as the original was? Finally when Renalt examined the car they found a lot of broken glass that hadnt been cleaned up properly from the original repairs - am I right to be able to claim some compensation for such shoddy work??
