You also add to that list, Zac, excellent build quality, total reliability and low depreciation. Any one who has owned a BMW finds it difficult to find another marque of car which comes anywhere near a BMW. The only drawback to owning a BMW is the insane envy of owners of other makes( Porsche excepted).
BMW's are like Man utd - brilliant in what they do( they are exciting to drive) - but hated , not helped by oily estate agents owning them and inner city teenage asian drug dealers and their posse' posing their turfs in their uninsureable M3 convertibles
Yes. I've had an E36 3-series saloon and an E46 3-series coupe which were both excellent cars and the E46 coupe shows how cars should look. The new E90 3-series saloon looks like it was designed by the chief engineer at Hotpoint Kitchen Appliances. Because the 3-series is now a favourite for company fleets the new E90 version has been severely blanderised. The latest E92 3-series coupe (and coupe convertible) is better looking than its E90 brother, but it can't beat the wide-body flared arch look of the E46 coupe.
I'll probably swap my E46 for an Audi.
ii was sceptical buying a bmw, but it was the best decision iever made, i have an e36 bmw m3 evolution - 321bhp, best car i have ever had, love driving along in a 10 year old car that can out accelerate 20k porsche boxsters......... most people i know own various bmws and for build quality, reliability, value for money, looks etc.... you cant go wrong , once i get rid of this i will be a bmw owner for life as i love them all, pure quality.. so no i cant think of a more exiting car,
and if i did i would always stick with german stuff after owning this-

I have an X5 3.0d and a 320CD SE - I would not have any other cars and believe me I have owned most of them in my 10 years of being a self employed courier and my 20 years driving.

I find it a reverse snobbery with BMW - everyone else thinks that because you own one you are this, that and the other- where I know quite a few who own them and are none of these things. I don't think I am any better than anyone else on the road but people who don't drive them have a big problem with this !
hhmm depreciation? m5 anyone? if depreciation is not a problem for most models at the moment, the huge sales of new cars must surely be leading this way there are so many more cars than buyers =?

Ford clit**s no surely not, a 3 series should be a clit car because every C@?t has one :)
Merc (yawn) come on have you not seen the new BMW range or remember the M reg style 3 series
They do make some fast ones agreed but when your spending all that money there is a lot of other interesting choices.
M3's are like the cosworths of years gone by
Maybe BMW are victims of their own success?
So which BMW do you have death?
