Hi,

I have a Rover 400 when breaking the pedal is shuddering (like ABS is kicking in) this happened last year and I had my n/s CV joint changed and it all went away but has now come back, have also noticed when turning right there is a metal to metal noise, not really loud but you can hear it?

Any tips, my car is due for service next month so whnt to suggest to the garage what I think it may be?

Thx

Steve

It is deffinately your o/s CV joint!
Question Author

Can this be replaced as I thought the O/S CV joint meant the whole drive shaft had to be replaced? do you think that could have happened as I had my n/s one changed last year?

Thanks,

Steve

If the n/s cv joint has worn out last year it should be time for the o/s cv joint to wear out also as they both drive the same distance.

I can understand that, thanks. Can you just replace the o/s cv joint or do you need to do the whole shaft? cost me about 100 call in for n/s, is that about right?

Thx
