morning, Tuesday and the days are going fast. I hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one. I am not sure how i continue on with GMEB, though i would like to.
My health has deteriorated to such a bad degree that i can no longer stand even with others help.
My knee/leg have very little weight bearing on it and consequently i am not able to get up and down with any ease. sorry to be so much of a downer on a nice thread.
If i don't post much today, bear with me as the pain is unbearable and if i don't post tomorrow by say 5.30am then someone can take over.

morning Naomi, so much has happened, its way too complicated to try and explain on here.
i am however on crutches but can't put much weight on them, i am before long going to topple over. I have a care package in place with carers coming in twice a day, which means letting them in, true agony just getting up. I am not even sure i can manage to let them in this morning. sorry to be so much of a downer as i said,
GMEB has been a good run but not sure i can continue on, will see how today pans out. Trying to not let this thread be all about
my woes. I know that many contribute and are generally happy people.

Maybe your anxiety isn’t helping, emmie. It must be healing. What does the physiotherapist say?

they are looking to set up a key box downstairs, so carers and others can have easy access, this should be done today.

Gosh, Emmie, I'm so sorry to hear about your problems. Is it mainly pain and reduced mobility or do you feel systemically unwell? Perhaps the hospital should have sent you to step-down?

I went to GP yesterday. I got completely messed around but eventually got to see the Dr who is worried I might be developing a pneumonia again. I'm on Doxycycline and I'm just hoping and praying I'm not going to get pneumonia again and end up in hospital over Christmas.

We're a right pair, aren't we!

Good. They work very well. So what has the physio said about your current situation? Try not to panic, emmie. It must improve.

knee itself isn't too bad, but something has happened that means i am more of less home bound. The physio said they will fast track a chair that's easier to get out of than my sofa, will see

its pain and almost total immobility i shuffle to the door, but for whatever reason its hard to put left leg down. have enough pain relief and more if i need it, but not working. I too have a chest infection and am on doxycycline.

i just can't explain it, but its all so much worse. anyway people perhaps someone can inject some much needed upbeat news.

Have you spoken with your surgeon or GP about your leg? I take it you're on Clexane whilst non-weight-bearing and there's no suspicion of DVT?

That’s rotten but it will improve, emmie. Try not to let it depress you. Attitude helps a lot in the healing process, it really does. Take it one day at a time.
