Apart from an occasional recovery, the heater fan & aircon have given up on me. Very difficult to clear the windscreen on these cold & frosty mornings. Is this a poor elictrical connection or, hopefully, something more straightforward.

this could be 2things.

1:the coolant radiator might need bled up (possibly air locked)

2:check the heater valve situated under the bonnet next to the window, its a black piece of plastic with to hoses going onto it, check them when the car is warm, if the 2hoses are warm then its o.k but if only 1 is warm it will have to be replaced. (easy to fit)

2:the heater valve might not be working. This is situated under the bonnet directly under the windscreen. This is a black plastic piece with 2 hoses attached to it, check the hoses when the engine is warm (cooling fans have came on) if the 2 pipes are warm then it is o.k. if only 1 of the hoses is warm then its broken and must be replaced. (easy to fit)

Thanks r21, I checked out your suggestions but all OK! My thoughts are that it's an electrical fault; whilst fiddling around the heater hoses etc I may have disturbed / fixed the problem. It's now working! But, I won't be certain until it runs constantly.
