It seems to me that most "average speed" cameras through roadworks are forward facing. Do speeding bikes "get away with it" as they have no front number plate?

apparently not if your riding towards the camera, quite a few bits of info in google about this

You might think they are forward Facing "These" there are cameras out of your sight, on Bridges, & Overhead Motor Signs.
That's the main reason for the cameras facing the back end of vehicles.
