petrol in the oil

Thanks to the guys who gave me answers. Still no joy. The engine does not start either. Have taken pump off and inspected but all is ok any other ideas

need more info. did the engine run o.k. before, was it a case of it failing to start one day? how did you notice the petrol in the oil?

p.s kebabmeister yes, i did and am starting new job on the 22nd. not sure about holiday entitlement. will check back.

you need to replace your cylinder head gasket as its the only place petrol can mix with oil

The head gasket is one way the petrol may get into the oil but have you also considered worn piston rings. As these also retain pressure in the cylinders and you have starting problems then this could be a cause. A simple compression test could sort this for you but you would need someone with a little about them to do the test,
