I have just snapped a key in a door (internal door from kitchen to garage) - essential that I get in there but all the tools are in there too. Any ideas?

try useing a pair of tweezers to get it out

Would never get the front garage door open (too much stuff in there). I will have a look for a pair of tweezers.

Try inserting phillips screwdriver
If that doesn't work you need either a locksmith or a man with a strong shoulder.
Squirt ketchup in the lock, the pressure will force the broken key out. ;-)
Since you're in the house the hinge pins on the door are likely on that side. Drive a screwdriver (preferably a Phillips) from the underside of the pinholders (the pin is the axle on which the door swings) and remove them all... maybe two, maybe three. then you cn work the screwdriver into the space between the door and the frame on the same side as the hinges and it'll swing into the house et voila!
