Does anyone know of new cars (MPV) where the headlights can be adapted to/from driving on the right to full specification at the flick of a couple of levers? I've discovered the Volvo S40 and V50 but I need more carrying capacity. I don't want to mess about with sticky plastic, I drive midwinter in Nordic countries and need the best lighting for safety, comfort, courtesy and legality. 40 years ago it cost 15 shillings for two new bulbs for a Mini, and with the Citroen Ami you rotated a plastic ring. Sweden even drove on the right! Now it costs over 500 and two hours' labour to do the job properly (1994 Renault Espace). Young motor dealers sometimes even don't understand the question, the handbooks don't tell you, everyone says 'go to Parts' and 'Parts' say 'go to Halfords'. I had a letter in The Times about this in May last year and a BMW owner said she could do it easily, an Audi owner said his manual said it was easy but he found you had to remove several components first.
