what paint should i use?

I have a catering trailer that needs a bit of a spruce-up. I really want it to stand out & was thinking of a metallic colour, however the only paint i know is Hammerite which is way too expensive (almost �10 for a small pot). Any ideas what paint I could use taht wont cost me 'TOO' much..
