My mum has asked me to repaint the lettering on my dads grave.
at the moment its silver lettering, and the stone is grey, so she feels the silver lettering is a bit hard to read so would like me to paint it white.

Any ideas of what kind of paint i would use to cover the silver and also last in all weathers etc

is there a particular special type the makers use?

thanks

something I would not attempt...get a professional headstone supplier in..they will redo ..at cost of course... but peace of mind..I'd hate to make a mess of such a thing
Perhaps masonry paint? As minty suggests though, might be best to get it done professionally.

I am a professional artist, with plenty of signwriting experience, hence why she asked me. I'm confident i can do it - just not sure what the best paint to use is.
