For DVLA purposess - When do you become the registered keeper of a vehicle ? -

Is it the date of sale or transfer of the vehicle OR the date you signed the V5 notifying DVLA of a change of keeper ?

The date of transfer.
Surely they should be the same day.
will be date of transfer, if you read on the logbook it will state somewhere that the registered keeper may not be the legal owner.

this is where after buying a car you are the owner but still registered to someone else.

you could always call dvla to change details over if you've sold a car or make them aware to update system.
