We all could do with some good financial news in these hard times. good luck. : )
....and I hope you get it cheap (I've just had MOTs done for £19.99 each - both passed!) good luck.

I am paying £200 for an MOT and a full service, is that good? It is a Saab 93 auto turbo.
For a full service as well on a Saab - I'd be happy with that!
Yup, good luck. You know you can get your MOT test 29 days earier than due don't you? That allows you to still legally drive for near a month if certain parts are needed. My MOT is due in August but I always put it in as early as possible in July.
Tracy, sounds good value - cost of MOT ALONE going up every year it seems. My car MOT/repairer guy reckons it will be £100 within a few years!
Question Author
Well it's been gone since nine this morning and he hasn't phoned yet to say if anything needs doing for MOT.
Sorry meant Traci66, not Tracy.
Dear Traci66,
All garages I have used don't the paperwork till 4-30 to 5-30. They prefer doing mechanical jobs on other cars and hate paperwork. Besides if they 'phone everyone as soon as car passes, this means each other job is held up while they go through the paper-work with you. Don't worry at all, give them a ring about 5.00 p.m.
Question Author
I meant they said they would ring me before carrying out any work that could be needed for the MOT to let me know what it would cost.
Traci66, what year is your Saab and what was done/ changed with the service.
Question Author
The car is a 51 plate and they said they would give it a full service, whatever that entails, and the price quoted was for cash.
Sounds like it's passed Traci66.
A 51 plate, so it is the old shape 9-3, They should use Mobil 1 oil for the oil change as recommended by Saab, 6 litres will cost about £50 so if they use the correct oil your service / mot price doesn't sound to bad.
Question Author
It may be the old shape Tony, but I have loved it since the day I got it with only 5 miles on the clock, and it's a convertible, black.
absolutely nothing to contribute, but I luuurrrve Saab's. They're sexy.
Dont you just hate it ! Its like being six again and taking your homework to teacher to be marked. Good Luck
Got one to sell you if you like alba, a 55 plate 2.0t convertible, Lime Yellow.
Question Author
Yaaaay, it passed, just an extra £30 for brake pads.
Yup, knew it would be OK when you said they would only phone if expensive parts were needed and they hadn't. This request about expensive parts always applies to us all!
Well done, hope we all helped you relax dear. xxx
