I had a key cut at a a local key shop for a replacement for my car, Peugeot and it wouldn't work, think you have to get it from a dealer, which is usually a rip off as they wanted to charge me £120!!!!!!
its not the cost of the key its the cost of programming thats high, cant imagine a local key shop being able to programme a key.
Chipped keys .. Dealer.
Non-chipped keys as back-up entry (will not allow entry or start in proximity entry cars) Key shop.
If you buy an after-market program key .. be prepared to have hassle. Many don't work or cannot be programmed correctly.

Never use any RED-chip key day to day if you can help it. This is master. If lost will cost a fortune to repair system.
