Prudie, if a motorist wavers from in side to the out side then out side to the inside instead of driving in a positive manner, if this is noted by the Highway Police I understand they will pull the driver, they will use their discretion regards 80mph.
Ok TWR, I'll make sure I don't do that!!

I have spoken to many highway Motorway police about various topics on many of the UK motorway networks, they are only looking after peoples safety at the end of the day Prudie, each one I have spoken to within the Service are has near enough said the same thing as I have stated, if they see a car wavering from lane to lane & acting in a stupid unreasonable manner, they will pull him / her, their views are they do know that drivers travel above 70mph they are not stupid & they will let it go, that is until the see idiots doing what has been stated, an unsure driver is a dangerous driver, a dangerous driver can cause accidents, & accidents do not happen they are caused by Idiots that take chances 7 they are the one's if proven should be taken off the road with an instant ban. no doubt others will think differently.
yes cars are alot safer now a days and so are ther stopping capabilitys due to abs, 70 is nothing in modern cars, i would prefare no speed limit on motoways like germany
also people need to learn some skill, no skill in involved in drivi ng lessons or test, and theres nothing more anoying than someone hogging the outer lane, move over!
bit of a gap since I last saw this question, I would like the speed to be faster TWR but, you will never ever ever get rid of the slow mover and for that reason sense says keep speed in a tolerant range or you'll have accidents. Another thing is stress, I get annoyed at traffic that I don't think is going fast enough and that's a bad thing, but it isn't going to change in a million years and letting me go faster will raise my stress levels. Slow traffic is here to stay and you must put safety first.
