i just bought a ford mondeo estate mk2 v6 engine i has anyone owned a car like that and could tell me how it was driving quality faults that are associated with that car and is it true that it takes alot of petrol.

I had (until about a month ago) a 2001 mondeo 2.5 V6 Ghia X. I was getting on average 23 mpg (mainlu urban driving).

I changed it for a 2002 2.0 TDCi Ghia X and have over doubled my mpg (currently on 48mpg).

I think mine is the Mk3.
