How do you feel when you go out and leave your mobile phone at home.? I feel as if my hands have been cut off. Can't concentrate in case I need it when in car. When I go out I stand at the door saying to myself doors locked keys and mobile.

I feel just the same as you wendilla. i feel lost without mine and cant wait to get home, even though i dont get many calls or texts!
I do feel a bit lost without my phone when I forget it; but then when I get home again I'm really disappointed when no-one has called or texted me and I haven't missed anything!!
i did forget mine a week or so ago and that's when i realised that i had not filled in my diary name and address pages nor were the emergency contact numbers in my staff file up to date. the only number i knew off by heart was my OH and he didn't have my son's number in his phone and only my daughters old number and so i ended up pretty out of touch! i've put that right now and put the numbers in my diary.
I refuse to have one. Does that make me weird?
Couldn't care less.

In fact 9 times out of 10 it's at the bottom of my bag flat as a pancake anyway.
It doesn't bother me really. I am usually with someone else when I'm out so if I have desperate need of a phone I can ask to use theirs.

Yes Dot I always make a point of writing down important numbers in a small notebook in my hand bag. But have them all listed in another diary.
I sometimes put mine in a pocket, sometimes not, doesn't bother me either way. The way I see it, is if it's something important that I'm being called about, they'll call back anyway.

Yes Boo mine lands at the bottom of my bag have to scramble for it through the junk and by the time I have stopped the car to find it it has rung off.
I don't have a mobile, have no use for one and don't think I'll ever get one.
When I'm out with other people I don't bother with it (unless I have to check on the kids)

On my own I NEED to have it. I got lost once without my phone or my purse....Horrible experience.

very interesting reading Vulcan.
Mr Puss reminded me yesterday that my mobile was out in the back garden and brought it in for me.
Shouldnt have worried , no blighter rings or texts much lately.
Am i boverred? Nah.

After ringing my house phone and getting no reply my daughter then rings my mobile and if she don't get a reply back from me within half hour she would be out to see if I was ok .So we have a system . I tell her if I am going asda or morrisons as the signal there is not good. Si I have to carry mine all the time .

Luckily she only live 4 miles away.
i panic if i haven't got it with me.
I frequently deliberately don't take a phone with me - I don't need to be contactable 24-7.
My mobile is on a pay as you go deal. I put £10 on it some time last year and although I usually have it with me, can't recall when it was last used.
I often leave it at home on purpose as it simply means I'm busy... unavailable.
