Hi. Can anyone tell me about an outfit called Autoaid Breakdown Recovery?. According to their bumf you are covered for most things that other outfits charge extra for such as getting you back home or being put up in a hotel etc...All this is done for a very cheap yearly premium which is why I am suspicious. Any help will be greatfully appreciated.

They look to have decent offices in Brentwood. Some reviews here:

Hi, as you know, what you get is what you pay for, Obviously the AA RAC give out good cover even when you look deeply into their Breakdown Recovery, a lot of people can avoid breakdowns themselves, How? even if you are not Mechanically minded it does not take a person with high IQ to check the main topics, Oil, Coolant, lights, Wiper washers, Tyre Pressures , a lot of people are either to lazy to check something that in the long run can cost them thousands.
Which? August 2010 : Auto Aid came top in a customer satisfaction survey, Britannia Rescue 2nd.,Gem Motoring Assist 3rd.,A.A. was 4th., and RAC was only 6th. The difference is that Auto Aid is a pay and claim insurance policy - you have to pay costs upfront and claim them back, within terms and conditions of the policy.
