Having just finished watching the programme on BBC2, I am of the opinion that it was a lot of nonsense .

Does anyone agree with me.?

wasn't one of their best
Top Gear is serious .. and daft .. and funny .. and silly ...
That's what it's evolved into.
Some of the funniest moments in TV motoring history are from Top Gear.
didn't watch todays but...when I do I find it sooooo funny. and jeremy clarkson is damn sexy

I can't disagree with any of you. However, there was a time when 'Top Gear' was a programme that mainly involved everyday cars; which most of us drive: whereas nowadays it seems to concentrate on macho machines.

They have run out of ideas !
I used to really enjoy them, but they are getting a bit too big for their boots - particularly Hammond.

What's all that with the hair?

Who was German Stig... I was hoping it was going to be Sabine... but had to get up and sort the cat out
It is an enterainment show and should be treated as such. Old Top Gear was about reviewing cars whereas new Top Gear has always been more about entertainment with cars.

The 10 minutes about the Reliant Robin in Top Gear last week was one of the funniest pieces of TV I've seen for a long time.
J. Clarkson, self opinionated Pratt, up his own self rightchess @rse who would want to watch something that is supposed to be about motoring but now about the @rsols who think they know about what they are taking about.
Top Gear used to look like this & that is exactly why they lost their audience and the BBC pulled the plug.

There are plenty of factual magazines and websites if you need help if deciding if you should buy a car or not.

Yep, load of old borlux ...totally non "PC", ridiculous mentalities, fantasy cars that most of us are unlikely to ever own, phoney reviews, acted and faked "challenges", who CARES who "The Stig" is?

...but I LOVE it :-)
Here's the 'million dollar question' though:
Can you believe its been running since 1977 ? :-O

Hi BOL10X - change of subject, but is your cat still with you? He was poorly when you last posted....

Hi BOL1OX and boxtops.......I had thought that this thread had come to its end. However, I am pleased that friendly folk are taking the opportunity to contact each other. Perhaps therefore I can throw in a few further comments.

If helicopters were being tested, I'd go along with the thought that the Stig might be Noel Edmunds who does pilot his own machine.

Michael Shumacher did appear as the Stig in one episode of Top Gear; having driven his own custom-built Ferrari FXX around the test track..............It's all there in the following:-

PS Stig backwards is what the presenters are :-)
TOPGEAR is great about the only thing on tv worth watching.
