55 VW passat

When i use my key fob to open all the doors of my passat only the driver and the back passenger doors open the front passenger door remains locked and i have to open it from the inside.. is there a simple way to put this right without taking it to the garage

yes!!! press it twice to open the passenger doos

I do press it twice ,,all doors open except front passenger door..
hmmm i see.... have you tried holding the button down when you press it for a longer time?

have you tried tapping it on the sideboard and then trying it?

lol i really dont know but i did try. i got a vw beetle an u gotta press it twice. u got a manual for it?

I don't know of a specific fault with the VW locks but in most cases like yours it turns out to be seized linkage. Perhaps removing the trim and a spray with WD40 will do it.
Maybe the solenoid that works the lock mechanism is a bit sticky, Citroens used to have a similar problem. The only cure was to fit a new one.
Any one close to you got a VAG scanner if so ask them to do an actuator test on the door.
