id like to know if my vw passat, se tdi tiptronic 2002, diesel estate has a particle filter...how can i find out?

No it doesn't! Good for you and your car .. a little smoke, and none of those particle warning lamps : ) Will probably cost you less long term.

(VW introduced them in 2006, and onto EVERY diesel car in 2010)
