How large are these puddles?

Id say open a window! LOL

cars are meant to be used on roads not water,so therefore do not drive through large puddles at high speed, most new car have under covers that stop this sort of thing, but older cars dont, and water getting on the engine and its components dont like it,espeacially the electrics,it could also stall in the water if its deep,so be careful in future.
belt tension is loose , get new belt fitted and tensioned correctly.
