My son was hit by another driver. When my insurance company tracked down the registered keeper ( who was not the driver) he said that the driver was not living there - and gave a false address for him.

Can the registered keeper be claimed against? - as over 3000 damage was sustained to our car.

(the car was sold on soon after the accident)

If you had got the number of the car and reported it to the police, they would have followed it up and possibly prosicuted somebody, thats what happend with me and there insurance paid to have my car repaired.
may be worth reporting it to the police.
hope this helps
You should report it to the police but get in touch with the MIB they will help you.
