Finding a sponsored vehicle for a charity drive

I am a lower right leg amputee and I'm trying to plan a charity drive around the coast of the UK. I have been trying to get a manufacturer of motor dealer to provide a suitable vehicle and it's becoming a struggle.
I have sent emails to all the newspaper motor journalists such as Richard Hammond and Quentin Wilson and even they have not acknowledged my emails.
Could anyone help me with some suggestions as it's important that I get this done before I lose the rest of my right leg. I would really like to raise some money for the Artificial Limb centre and Breast Cancer.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
After reading your posting my immediate reaction was to recommend you contact MAVIS. The Mobility Advice & Vehicle Information Service.
However their site seems to have been shut down, but I am sure there are leads on the site to companies who manufacture adaptations for people with various disabilities. Perhaps if you contact them rather than vehicle manufactures you may strike lucky.
You might have more luck with some of the big franchise holders, I don't know what part of the country you're in but up here in Scotland, Arnold Clark hold franchises for most of the major manufacturers and do a lot of work for local charities, they also deal with motability finance perhapse someone like that in your area might be able to do a deal between the manufacturer, motability and the dealer to sort you out a car.

Or maybe a large corporate sponsor might be the route to go, someone like Shell or BP, they run large fleets of vehicles and could help with the fuel for your trip.

Good luck
