The self proclaimed "Lord of the Mince" was on loose women and I was reminded of how unfunny he was, his obvious innuendos and predictable double entendres are getting painful now (pardon the pun) We obviously found him funny at the beginning when his style was unique and he was shocking us but just how long can his gags remain funny and who exactly are the ones that pay money to go to his shows?

Not me really, his show was at a local venue here, it was sold out very early on though.

Maybe everywhere else was sold out or they promised free drinks all night or something.

He's very funny.
I've seen him several times over very many years.
Daytime TV is obviously not the best place for his humour...........
Depends what you compare him to I suppose. Up against Stephen K Amos he's a comedy god.
Humour is a very personal thing, what you like I hate, and vice versa.
I cannot see why anyone would pay good money(for instance) to see Ricky Gervais or Peter Kay,but they do,and I am quite content to let them.
Personally,I don't find that many people very funny, but then I am probably in the minority?
I''ll give my positive vote to David Mitchell.

And worst so called comedian/enne - that dreadful Miranda Hart - her programme Miranda is, simply, appalling.
I've loved him ever since The Official Joan Collins Fan Club.

Jackthehat someone who is funny is funny everywhere, how can you say he's funny in person but not funny on Tv when he obviously does the same tired jokes? Agreed douglas Stephen is funny, invictas Ricky Gervais is funny in his program the office, Peter Kay is a legend, but Julian Clary not funny in the least, maybe his humor is only suited to a small like minded minority as he certainly isn't mainstream on the comedy circuits!
I like Julian Clary and think Miranda is hilarious. One of the few shows that makes me laugh out loud.
I agree about Peter Kay. I can watch a whole routine without breaking into a smile once, and I am not noted for my lack of sense of humour. I also think that this changes with age; when I was a child I loved the Morecambe and Wise show, but in later years I found them distinctly unfunny and rather juvenile.

mike11111 not even after "Garlic bread?"
Question Author
Talking about Ricky Gervais he was just on an advert promoting his new stand up dvd science, anyone seen it?
Sorry Micky, there's been a misunderstanding. I don't find Mr Amos funny at all.
Question Author
Oh I see what you mean, I found Stephen Amos hilarious!
Don't understand the 'garlic bread' reference. Is this a sketch of his? If so, I haven't seen it. To be honest I haven't watched much of him as first impressions were unfavourable, but I am prepared to be convinced otherwise.
Your opinion and you are entitled to it, Micky.

You asked for other opinions, and I gave you mine.
Question Author
I've never seen his impressions but I have seen when he was up Blackpool Tower, the garlic bread reference is in his routine and is very funny, this is only part one and there are more on youtube if you catch the bug, if not then at least I tried eh.
