.....lets see the crime and then see how its solved...
One TV cop was the eponymous Columbo and the only other tv of this genre I can recall was Banacek,he was an insurance investigator,but like Columbo you saw the crime first and then the detection.......can you think of any other 'see the crime then see it solved' tv series.

That's why i never liked Colombo.. you always knew who did it!!
Dial M for Murder (1954) is probably the classic example of the inverted mystery genre. But apart from Columbo no series has consistently used the format, although some episodes of "diagnosis murder", "monk" and "law & order" have been structured in that way.
