I am seriously tempted to give the WI a go Poodi. I saw the interview on television this morning with the boss lady and it could be good. As long as I don't have to enter competitions for the best flower arrangement or cake decoration. They do seem to do some interesting things these days. I would prefer mixed company though!

I'm pleased to hear it's still going after all these years. I don't know if we have one locally, and I suspect like Lottie it will be old style. There are a lot of retired people living here.

Hello poodi - sorry to disappoint but I have no real opinion on the WI. It wouldn't appeal to me but no socialising does because of my hearing problems. More than one person talking at a time and I am a lost soul. btw missed your q from last night - I live in Bournemouth but am currently with Big Sis in the New Forest. Any news on your house sale?
