In the street scene at the start of Corrie tonight was it just me or did anyone else notice that Gail was bobbing up & down as though she'd lost the heel from one of her shoes? or maybe she was walking with one foot in the gutter like you did when you were little? It just looked so funny to me.
And why does Deirdre always stride out around their tiny house with her arms swinging as though she's on a brisk 5 mile hike?
No insults from soap haters please...I know I should get out more :o)

Oh no Dolly..
thats really sad news..blimey..you have had your fair share this year..look after yourself...and take care my thoughts are with you.vin xx
Possums. / That was darn good work you did on that floozie the other day, Robinia. I didn't like her either. What's with that countenance... ...oooohh... wonder why I'm so cold... What does he drag them in here for? He's like a cat bringing vanquished mice into the house. Jeez. Vinny! Read my lips: We are interested in your little fantasies only to the extent that they involve us, and to drive that point home I've written you another delicate poem. Or, rather... well, as Robinia claims that you don't have any appreciation of the fine arts I made it a limerick this time. A delicate one. Are you listening? Ahem:

There dwelled a Green Man in the coombs
Old buffer with buffer and brooms
Though humble his standing
His mind was expanding:
Would that those hills were my biddies' bazooms!

And don't go getting too handy with that lady << next door either, 'cos come to think of it we don't much like her - either.

You mean to say jno that your son didn't even get himself a decent banana briefcase when in Sweden? I'm almost sure it's a Swedish invention, and it's not as dumb as it may seem, actually. Saves the handbag. / Loads of sympathy re your poor mouth.

Trying to figure out how Jude got along before central heating... (Seriously, how did you? Does that mean you had one heater in every room?)

It's gammeldansk for me Shaney, not so much Aquavit. I like it bitter.

Robinia did you draw that Charlie face yourself? You did, didn't you! You're good!

yes it will
Oh Dolly I'm so sorry. It really is too much for you right now. I can't even imagine losing a sister, I love my three ones so much it would be like losing a part of who you are. I'm so sorry for you.

Sorry I was so frivolous (above) after your entry but I had been working on mine forever and forgot to check for new posts before I submitted mine.

Take care Dolly.

Bye now, all.
HI Dolly I am so sorry to hear your sad news. I have 2 sisters and I just couldn't think about losing them And I'm sorry I didn't mention you in my last posting. I shall be thinking about you.

Hello Kit I haven't had central heating for the last 30 years and I have coped really well. I only have a small house with a gas cooker in the kitchen amd a gas fire in the lounge and that was all the heating I had. But I'm thinking our weather isn't as severe as yours. I had no heating upstairs ( 2 bedrooms and bathroom) but I just put extra winter duvet on and 'fur lined 'jamas ( joking about the 'jamas! ) I've had C H now because I think you feel the cold more as you get older and thought it was a good idea.
See you all later :o)

So sorry to hear your sad news Dolly .
Sincere condolences to you and your family ..take care xx
Dolly My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

dear Dolly what awful news to lose a sister that you're close to is a terrible loss, such a bad time for you, I'm so sorry. Take care x

ooh, it's getting nippy in a morning isn't it? but there's a bit of a heat haze rising in the distance - don't think Jude's got the hang of her controls yet.

I have one sister - I'm the bane of her life I'm sure & at the moment she's terrorising the Devonians in Saunton so Vinny you'd better take note - just listen out for the accent. You'll probably spot her stuffing her face with pasties & clotted cream, stops her nagging her 'ole man' for a few minutes. :o)
I'm still trying to peel off the asterisks from your erm, joke, to see what it said.

don't worry Kit his floozy flaunting days are over
fanfare for the common :o)

> > > > >
Morning all Beautiful day here. No need for central heating thank goodness! I have mastered hot water and no heated radiators so I hope we're in for an Indian Summer - give me time to work out how to set things.
Off out for lunch today with my 2 friends. No Tai Chi today. That starts again next week.......

I'm still thinking about you Dolly x

Bye for now see you later no doubt. x

Question Author
ok, who dunnit?

well that's how I feel again, hope you all feel livelier than I do...thinking of you Dolly & hope you're feeling better shaney

bloomin heck Vinny they're from 'Leicestah' you know
this is more like it :o)

that Courtyard place looks lovely but I saw a pic of the Red Barn's Sunday roast & that looks more like their kinda thing....we midlanders like 'proper joined up dinners' you know (ie all floating around in lots of thick gravy, lol) & none of that semi-raw business.
They've got an appartment in the Saunton Sands hotel so I expect they'll be eating there. It's really funny you should mention toms tho' because they love 'em & I'm sure she mentioned something about finding good ones last time.

right, didn't we used to have a masseur hanging around?
I feel a bit like mothers gravy ..thick and welded to the plate .
Hope you are all OK ...I am a bit under the weather ...still.
I have to go and have a blood test next week .My thyroid is all over the shop again and I can't be doing with it .I won't bore you with the details .But suffice to say I feel like poop.

Anyway it's a dull day here but very warm .We went into town today and it was packed to the gunnels ..End of season Biddies weeks ! The place was awash with blue rinses and white handbags .
When I used to work in the holiday trade as a girl we used to call these last weeks of the season the coffin dodgers weeks ....I know how they feel now !!
Hi <a> All
I hope you feel better soon <a> Shaney.
Thankyou for Dylan <a> Vinny you made my day. I tried to send you a message back the same way but couldn't get it onto here. I was going to send it to myself then copy it but I couldn't print my email address in the space, don't know what I did wrong.
I've been walking today with my sister. (Don't all faint with shock at me walking) We just walked down to Elvaston Castle and had a cup of tea and scones in the cafe down there. When we came back she gave me a lesson on burning a cd with all my photos on my computer. She says I can delete them all of my computer now but I'm a bit nervous about doing that. But I expect I will one day soon.
Going to get me dinner now see you soon :o)
Evening. jno home with the windows yet?

Who you calling a lady, Vinny. I'll overlook it this time but watch your tongue henceforth. ♫ ♥ don't you wish your girlfriend was fat like me♪♫ ha ha sorry, had to do that. / Loved the subterranean Good Morning.

A Change is Gonna Come, yes Robinia it's on my top say twenty too. Did you know Cooke was triggered to write it by Dylan's Blowin' in the Wind. There are lines in Blowin' that seem to refer to the racial tension in the States and Cooke loved it but felt he himself ought to have written it. He went around saying things like "...I've got to write something, here's a white boy writing a song like this..." It really got to him - and then he wrote A Change is Gonna Come. Thanks, Bob! White boy!

This is a good album and here's another one that's on it. Daren't post any more samsongs now... but listen to him singing Bring it on Home to Me... it's on that CD. OMG. Can't believe he was a mortal man.

Found you a masseur Robinia but I wouldn't trust him And one for Shaney - only it sounds like you've already been to this one, Shaney... Feel better soon, the pair of you.

Shhh, someone's coming, is it- ...yes, it's Jude, walking home from one of the tea dances she likes to portray as "rock 'n' roll nights on the town". here she comes! Don't let on that you saw her, she'll be embarrassed.

Bye now.
Ha ha Jude I saw you walking!
