Sticking to green might not be a bad idea, I feel. i.e. dark green trousers with a mid-green jumper - or, perhaps, a white or cream jumper with a mid- or dark green design on it?

A burnt orange shade.

It depends on the hue & if you want to 'stand out' or be reclusive.
If the hue is a strong green & you want to make an impression, then orange or violet.
If the green is pale & you don't want to shock the world, then a warm beige.
