Anyone watch embarassing bodies the other night? The man with the leaky bottom! He was asked when did you last empty your bowels. His reply was two weeks ago! Jeepers! The mind boggles!

Reminds me of when i was about 10 years old and was taken to see the doctor because of stomach pains. The doctor asked me "what are your motions like?" and I innocently replied something along the lines of "I can run the 100 yards in 15 seconds..."

It just sounds like fecal impaction (I think that's what it's called) to me... I don't think it's that uncommon, but then my work is around children so maybe more common with them

Poor thing! Could there be part of his system flooding water in as well maybe? I get lots of water with a malabsorption condition I have where it gets flooded with water as there is a problem with bile acid transit.

JJ ,if your emptying your bowels 3/4 times a day then you have diarrhoea,once every couple of days I think is average.

4. Any other time during the day if you've eaten something, err, 'volatile'

I really don't think there is a "normal" is there? But I'd be pretty concerned about 4 times a day! Not to mention a hassle- what do you do at work? Please don't tell me you poo at work Jayne?
