I'm still sitting here with my mouth open...

I wish I knew...
He worked something out with the CSI woman to fake his death. That's why he went to see her. She stitched his face onto some other body. You saw him jump but not hit the ground. That's why he told Watson to stay exactly where he was, so he'd see him jump but not land.
..or something like that.
Argh - I knew he wouldnt be dead....but a body fell

I guess that was Moriaty? - But then the body on the ground had the same hair as Sherlock

Was the kid on the bike who knocked Watson over - on purpose, in order to give Sherlock time to get down and with the aid of other accomplices, get in place of Moriaty - to fake his suicide?

Just have to wait for Season 3!!!!

I got the bit with Mollie and then I kind of lost it. I need an explanation to these things!
..yes, the bike knocking Watson over was significant. It would have been Shelock cycling away probably.
I think BBCiplayer is on the cards....definitely one to watch again,as I never concentrate like I should the first time.
Oh...who was the guy in the stairwell-looked like a marksman.... watching Watson?
Question Author
Good idea Pasta. That's going to mean I have to get up especially early tomorrow!!!
I have to watch it twice as well.....as Ive got terrible eyesight, I never catch the text messages that flash up in nearly every episode - How I wish I had SKY+ or something to rewind bits!!!
The guy in the stairwell was an assassin - who would have killed Watson had Sherlock not jumped - they think Sherlock jumped, so no need to kill Watson

Also the "builder" at 221b was a killer as well?
Maybe it's me...but I always miss bits in the dialogue also. There's so much detail-both in dialogue and visually.
There was no explanation of why the kidnapped girl screamed when she saw Holmes. It will all tie in somehow...
Question Author
I normally get it, but tonight I just didn't
That's what I thought,Jack....brought in at the very end like that-so easy to miss.
Anybody else spot in the cast list that one of the old men at the Diogenes Club was played by Douglas Wilmer, who played SH on the BBC in the 60s. He's 92
It was a real cliff-hanger.
!! ;-0
Rare I get the full plot the first time, thank goodness for iplayer.
it was all a set up to make watson think he was dead-and the bike knocking watson over stalled it long enough for there to be a switch between moriaty and sherlock. i dunno i was setling someone with earache whilst trying to watch it, will be watchign it again!
And we thought Bobby Ewings return was a load of ****, just to show we are just as good as the yanks at bulls***.
