Mr Q and I love this programme but the Christmas special was not in the least bit funny. Watched right to the end hoping for something to laugh at but there was nothing.

Like many programmes which are usually part of a series, I wonder if they lose their rhythm when they do a Christmas Special?

Especially as it was probably filmed in the summer when its difficult to enact the real spirit of Christmas.

I used to be in fits at this series but hardly laughed at all at the Christmas special.

It was definitely filmed when it was sunny and everywhere was green and leafy, it didn't even look right.

Usually has me in stitches but I think it has lost a lot of appeal because the kids are getting older.

On the whole, from what I've seen of it tv (terrestrial) over the festive period has been pretty sh!te apart from the odd decent programme.

ITV have only just made it back into the black after nearly going under. BBC cuts are coming through......and what do we have on now, Beeb - the Two Ronnies - yawn and some cheap document on Grease and old reruns of movies.

'twasn't up to its usual standard but perhaps the cast had just heard that it has been cancelled.
