Thanks for reply Ouzel I am not that blinkered to realise that some people enjoy these shows but enough is enough, how much money is spent on these shows,? i know you can switch channels but please Saturday night for nearly 3 months Sickly on one side and Xrated on the other. Is that your cat on your avatar?
Can't stand any of them, my family came here for Christmas and one insisted on Strictly come Dancing much to OH's displeasure. Have to I enjoyed watching the final but don't think I could have endured all the dance-offs.
I hate reality TV with a vengeance don't watch any of then. You missed out all the bloody cooking progs too. Cheap TV. The beeb charge us for the licence to watch crap and ITV bombard us with adverts.
Yes, that's himself on the avatar. As with all cats - I'm his humble slave !
Hate the ad with the babies
I can't begin to imagine why people like these programmes either, but am clearly in the minority as they continue to be hugely popular. The term "reality" TV is a weird one, isn't it, as these programmes are about as different from reality as you could imagine!

Thank you one and all I am pleased to see I am not alone, I thought we would be ok for a while then I saw that ridiculous advert for The Voice, I felt I had to have a rant. What is your cat called Ouzel we have two, one sixteen year old called felix and one big ginger tom like Garfield called Crumpet
His name's Ouzel and he's a large, long haired, indoor cat. Like your Felix, he's 16.
Loathe all these type of programmes, we never watch any of them. Ghastly cheap TV.
I don't watch any of them. OH watches SCD, so I see a bit of that, but I have no interest.
I have watched the Dancing and Ice ones, I like cookery and property shows too - if in doubt then there are loads of channels to choose from.

I do admit to having various hobbies too though.
My fave channel is Universal. I realise they are repeats from other channels but I have not seen the one's I watch before. Busy doing something else I suppose.

I wonder if we could get the ed to do a poll on these shows? How would I go about that?
Suggest it in Ed's blog.
I, too, hate this so called 'reality tv' with a vengeance and one of the main problems with sickly, x rated and the voice is that it is all about the judges and not the contestants. You read some of the posts on here (and in the media) the day after one of these shows has aired and it is "Louis Walsh has fallen out with..........", or "Len Goodman says leave Brucie alone" or "Is Silly-i-am showing a good example to kids by standing on chairs?"
Fear less, Dancing on Ice is ending. I enjoy it and Strictly, none of the others and am fed up of cookery and gardening programmes. Oh, and supposedly sophisticated late night quiz shows and political posturing with so called members of the public commenting.
I just turn off and pick up a book.
Watching is not mandatory, there are other things to do with one's time.
Ken , if he had no ladders then that is what chairs are for.
I've a spare set of steps i'd gladly wrap around his neck......i mean lend him.
Oi!! Leave Will alone, he's cute and cuddlesome.
