I am a fairly recent convert to The Archers, and am still trtying to get to know the characters.

Is Rob Titchener a generally good guy who is misunderstood by some, or an untrustworthy scheming cad?

As you see Hopkirk, I've been wondering the same thing. Personally I think he may end up to be a cad!

Ah so it's clever writing, rather than me being a bit slow then.

I thought he was a gonner the other day when he sneaked off work, then he pops up with a ring.
Including the pair of you I now know of three people who listen to this show/soap.

wolf I suspect a lot more people are secret Archer's fans, it's just not cool to admit it :-)
Oh and it's not a soap surely!
Make it four Wolf!

The Rob character is being played out in a very tantalising way, excellent writing.
Five:-)

My OH never misses the Sunday Omnibus edition
If it wasn't for The Archers and Emmerdale
she wouldn't get any air!
Six ;-) A cad methinks....

FRESH AIR ^^^^^even!!!
Seven... I think he's up to no good !
I think he's up to no-good. But I can't stand Helen anyway so I don't care.

OH says, got no proof yet, but Bad Guy!
I think we might be being led down the garden path!

The writing is so tantalising and ambiguous that I think they want us to think he is a baddie and there will be a stonking climax where Helen turns psycho and Rob saves the day.......or something.....
Eight ;-))
Nine.
Around 4.5 million of us who actually admit to it, apparently. I guess at least the same number again who are still in the closet.

When working in people's houses, they often wonder why I wait until nearly 2pm to have lunch .......... ;o)

I'm enjoying it, but it is quite hard work to get to know who is who when you don't have sight of people.

The major characters are fairly easy, but some of the minor ones are just noise.

I could do with a way of getting to know who is who, but the BBC website isn't very helpful for that.
Hopkirk - some light reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Archers_characters

I am sure that there are books about the programme.

I 'think' that it is more an English show than Scottish or even Welsh.
