have to be SO noisy? Next door started pressure washing patio and worked on it for 4 hours non-stop! Well done him but the dreadful noise did my head in! Stopped at 3pm - lovely peace and quiet, picked book up, read one page then neighbour over the back started mowing his large lawn, then decided to use strimmer for half an hour. Peace for a while but now there is a BBQ going, with music and greasy beefburger smell. I just love sitting in the garden quietly listening to lovely blackbird song, why don't they just relax and enjoy the sunshine? I realise we all have to work hard in our gardens but I just couldn't get away from the constant noise today.
Ann, a few weeks back I had it with a dog, forever barking, to a point that has been sorted ( Thank God) due to the fine weather I'm afraid this is what we all are going to get, one solution "A good pair of ear plugs.lol lol x
Sorry to hear your peace and quiet has been compromised Ann, I however am as guilty as your neighbours for being noisy today. The first opportunity in ages to strim the grass, steam clean the scooter, mess about in general. Once we have caught up we will be quiet...honest x
Ann, that does sound horrible. I guess it's because this is the first day we've had good weather in weeks, so everyone is outside. And I know I'm a miserable old bat, but why does everyone have to have a barbecue at the first sign of sun?
No one's been able to do anything in the garden for ages because of the rain.
We had the hedge trimmers out today and the lawnmower. So did everyone else it seems. It will settle down once all the jobs are done. It's nice and quite now.
I'd prefer your noise also. I had a row earlier with some neighbours over their noisy, screaming, feral toddlers and the use of scooters on the balconies of our flats.
I just want to lick my wounds now......
i need dinner ................ I need pampering ............... I need to think of a way to get rid of Hubby LOL ;) ................ no perhaps not! I'm just too old! ;)
Actually Mick T - you are almost right there! OH cuts the grass, but we only have a small lawn and with a flymo only takes 5 mins. We don't have a strimmer (can't get on with them) so I DO have a large pair of scissors and cut all the rough areas and round the edge LOL - you thought you had me there, didn't you, but I had the last laugh!! LOL:)
