The AB Movie Review slot is back.

Whilst I maintain that Chalet Girl will be the best film of the year, you should definitely look out for this ...

The Valkyrie, recorded at the Bayreuth Festival.

Probably not gonna be at ALL Cineworld centres.

We're not getting it at Brighton Marina - but it's on at Eastbourne ... Yay!

Just thought I'd flag this one up for you guys.

Aren't Wagnerian works very long? Or do they just seem to be?
Question Author
Well, the Ring is 17/20 hours, depending who conducts it.

But you can sit back with a jumbo popcorn, and a Coke.

I rather suspect I'll be going on my own to this.

Not that my pals don't like Wagner, but I'm not sure I can persuade them to venture into the "God's Waiting Room" that is Eastbourne.
I'll wait 'til the DVD comes out.
Question Author
There are productions on DVD which I think are better than this will be ...

... if you see what I mean.
It's the night out in Eastbourne that's attracting you, then?

Oooh... our very own Claudia Winkleman...

Although I prefer to imagine you more like Barry Norman in a wig...

Question Author
Barry Norman in a wig?

Yes, I can see why that would work.

But then again, why wouldn't it.

But now on to our next offering.

(sorry, that was me trying to be Barry Norman)

Barry Norman was a big Brighon FC supporter.

Or am I thinking of Norman Wisdom.

And Norman Cooke.

I think we have a bit of a "Norman" thing going on at The Seagulls.

Is it because we're so close to France?

Hey !! ... that all tied in quite neatly, in the end, didn't it.

"bet she tea bags"

I think the correct expression would be "bet she "uses" tea bags"

Personally, I had her down more as a "latte" person.
It is still a bit early in the day to be mentioning the Grenouille Gobblers...
Question Author
I quite like them.

Not much meat on them, though.
''Not much meat on them, though''

On the French? Watch the rugby tomorrow... Sébastien Chabal would keep you masticating for quite a while...
Question Author
Hairy bloke?

Played for a team in the North West?

Only famous French player apart from their previous captain ...

... whom I (frankly) fancied the pants off ... but I can't remember his name.
Question Author
Here are the two of them.

Hairy bloke, and hunky bloke.

Fabien Pelous ... that was him. HOT !!!!
What about Charles Aznavour? He's a famous Frenchman.

Obviously he'd struggle to get in to the National Rugby Union team, predominantly because he is dead... although the way the French are currently playing maybe he'd get a place...
Overly long Opera to fanciable French rugby players in 15 posts... AB is nothing if not diverse...
Question Author
Bit "weedy" for my taste, Snags.

But I suppose he could sing better than Sebastian Chabal.

Not that I've heard Sebastian Chabal sing.
Question Author
I love it when a thread goes for a walk.
''Not that I've heard Sebastian Chabal sing''

See my previous post... we could be on to a winner here...
