according to an article on the news yesterday a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children spend £1.200 per month on shopping and now says the older boys will have to go without "proper" coke, some people dont even earn that amount let alone spend it on shopping, is it just ridiculous or is that just my thoughts?

Question Author
yes just on food shopping, god knows what she buys to make that amount
Lobster and caviar and champagne...
Question Author
must be something along those lines
Corrr, that equates to (roughly) £60 per person a week!
That is far too generous, they must be buying the best of everything. Half that would be enough to buy good quality fresh food and the odd treat. And wine.
Which doesn't actually sound too bad.

I spend about £500 for 4 us....I don't buy any treats either. That doesn't include alcohol and cigarettes either.
I spend about £700 a month on seven if us which includes treats.

I spend about 60/80 per weekon 3 of us ,and that does include cigs.

<<<very very very thrifty!
i would love to hve that much to spend, i think i spend more on the sodding cats food then mine
I could do it much much cheaper if I planned ahead.
was not aare your cats had a fluid retention issue fluffy..
My daughter is married with three children and spends around £100 per week on food and they eat well. Where do they get these figures from?
my cat has many many issues murray
I would guess that it includes booze.
Shoot it. It would be cheaper and then you could spend the money on new silver lame hotpants.
i am not going to dignify that *walks of with nose in air*
On a pro rata basis the two of us spend at least this amount on shopping each month. Does include wine though.
