sky plus planner and power cut

will i lose the programmes recorded on the planner if we turn off our electric to do some work on a light fitting?

The light fitting circuit should be separate from your wallsockets to which you have Sky connected.
Look at your Consumer unit and isolate your lights from there as each circuit should be labelled on the trip fuse.

tee hee, you have to ask yourself if we should be doing the work on the light fitting if we didnt know this...! thank you.
... apart from the fact that you already can't see what you're doing anyway!
We get loads of power cuts and it doesn't/hasn't affected out sky box (so far).
