I wish they'd make a new series. Am I the only one?
There must be present day magicians, ventriloquists, burlesque acts to keep us entertained for an hour.

Oh I love him. But a bit of a variety show would be very welcome in this household.
Ooooo no, not ventriloquisits ( how hard is that to spell?), they scare me.
I agree BOO. Spooky dummies. I wouldn't have one in the house! As bad as clowns.

I don't know about 'The Good Old Days'. I never enjoyed it, but I would love a good old fashioned variety show with a mix of great acts. Would be so much better than all the reality shows.
I used to love watching The good old days. We certainly need a show like that, when I see all the rubbish that is on the telly.
I agree. The tv is full of reality rubbish and sad celebs dancing, cooking, going to cold places and anything else that they're more than willing to do to get on the telly. Not to mention stand up comedians everywhere.
I used to love the Good Old Days - now that was entertainment!
Has to be a new format...
Why don't they repeat 'Sunday Night at the London Palladium' there was plenty of variety there, and think about all those long gone superstars we could all enjoy again.

Who would be 'The Top of the Bill' for you?
Why not a new 'The Black and White Minstrel Show'

If it offends, then they need not use an all white cast, the music and dance would be all that matters.
Sunday Night at the London Palladium was great, good family entertainment
I think it would have to be someone like Tony Bennet or Neil Diamond to top the bill aog
I remember about 30 years ago going to see a version of "The Good Old Days" at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle, starring the late Bobby Thompson, known probably only to those from the North-East. Apart from him, the rest of the acts were so bad that they were positively good. I shall never forget the guy who took the role of Leonards Sachs whose make-up was so OTT that he looked as if he had just emerged from a bath of embalming fluid, nor the poor girl in the line of dancing girls twirling their ribbons, whose ribbon snapped and was left twirling a stick for 3 minutes.
