Basically, im your average 19 year old lad, self employed and qualified in refrigeration and air conditioning. I went out on a free night out at the weekend which seemed to be going good, untill i suddenly felt so drunk that i was out of my own controll. I then decided to go to the cash machine which swollowed my card (Cannot remember why) and for a reason that only god knows i decided to kick and punch it a few times which further smashed an already broken screen. I was arrested 10 minutes later and am now on bail. What can i expect?

This is my first offence and completely out of character.
What do you mean by a '' free night out at the weekend ''?

One of the companies i work for took all of their sub-contractors out in the town.
You kicked the screen? Blimey, how did you get your leg that far up? Do you do karate?
Or were you on stilts. God, not another circus in town!
Question Author
lol nope, i cant remember it to be fair but ive been told that i kicked it several times by the police and my friend!
You have got no chance steve, you will be on local CCTV and maybe in a few weeks on TV in '' Cops with Cameras ''
Question Author
Well yes i know that much, but what about punnishment?
show mega remorse apologise to the court and you should get a fine.Does your boss know ? better you tell him than he reads it in the local paper. If it was a free night on the town why did you need to go for cash anyway ?did u have a hangover in the morning or did u spend the night in the cells ?
a new card in the post ?

You were only trying to retrieve your property :)
apologies, I see you are self employed so you dont have to worry about telling the boss.

With your training I'm surprised you weren't able to keep a cool head in that situation.

The best policy now is to look smart in court and show remorse.... and of course drink less in future. I'm sure you've learnt from the experience

I was heading for the casino, this is why i was getting cash. Yes i have learned a lot from this about how easy it is to make mistakes when drunk! Im going to make sure nothing like this happens again!!
You were going to the casino drunk? They'd have welcomed you with open arms. You'll probably get a fine and be ordered to pay for the repair of the machine.
Well sentencing side of things have been mentioned however your own fault for deciding to kick and punch the machine (which I don't know what you was trying to achieve by doing so).

Chances are if/when you go before the courts the fact you was "drunk" will not go in your favour but you deserve everything you get because this seems another typical young guy, not being able to handle the beer, and actions such as these, are pointless and meaningless but as you said, your not in control. No sympathy
