Showing my age here, but I remember a soap, maybe in black and white called either
Compact or Impact. It was about a magazine and the staff that worked on it.
I think your brothers and sisters was Sons and Daughters--I liked it.
I also remember Compact funnygirl. It was brilliant and Ronald Allen played the editor of the magazine.
You would have to be quite old to remember this one - does anyone remember "The Groves". It was about a family of mum, dad and old Granny Grove, and two children, a boy and a girl. I am almost certain the boy was played by Christopher Beeny.
I vaguely remember the Grove Family, although no details as I was a young child and it was way above my head. It was about the mid-50s. I think there was also one about the same time called The Appleyards.
Yes, I do remember the Appleyards, now you come to mention it! I think the Groves followed on after that finished.
Dynasty and The Colbys... and definitely Eldorado!!
Take the High Road, The Sullivans, The Brothers, Howards's Way.
Yes sons and daughters, but one of my favourites was Brookside
