a word you hate

Whenever I hear the word kids I think of my mate who once told me she hates anyone describing children as kids as they are not young goats. I always try to avoid that word now when around her. Is there any word you hate people using. For me its got be other half, hate it, hate it, hate it

That's me ttfn - always the trendsetter! It happens to me a lot - I'll walk into an empty shop and after a few minutes, other people will start to wander in off the street aswell. They must be thinking "Well if it's good enough for her...!"

anything that is mispronounced or misused. i can converse in latin, french, german, spanish, hungarian and polish, so have a very good grasp of language, use, pronounciation and word origin, construction and use. the history of language is fascinating (i am clearly a nerd), but if i had to pick one, then...probably phrases such as 'i'm not racist, but...' as they clearly mean one is. a spade is a spade and one should say so. if you can't say something and defend it...then you should clearly just shut up! x

I'm not keen on 'kids' either, or partner actually, whenever anyone says 'my partner' I assume they're gay! I also don't like it when people say pacifically instead of specifically!

lard - i did tell you it was a very versatile and useful object. no need to be jealous 4get - you will have your own talents and strengths. if your avatar is any thing to go by, you have a beautiful and sensitive soul. if this starts a discussion of the avatars and their meanings/relation to users i apologise in advance....but you all know that they do! x
