According to an Online Search Poll Billy Connolly has been voted Britains favourite comedian! followed by Victoria Wood and Tommy Cooper! I do like Billy although he can be quite crude but his portrayal of ever day folk is hilarious, he was always the best guest on Parkinson!

Each has their own style but I do admire Lee Evans for not only the material but the energy he puts into his performances. A unique standup routine.

I like Victoria Wood, loved Les Dawson. A really funny guy is Jethro, if you can understand his broad west country accent.

I saw Billy Connolly Live at the Glasgow Apollo in the 1970s, fabulous stuff, it was the banana boots tour. Still makes me laugh. Also I vote for Michael McIntyre, I would love to see him live.
